Death makes you….!

#Death Born #COVID-19 #Medicine #Yoga #Love #Romance

Death isn’t the opposite of life. It’s the end of life. Of love. Of everything.
_
But death often makes you an immortal. It turns you into a star twinkling in Van Gogh’s Starry Night. The yellow of the morning sky emanates your fragrance like dewdrops on a Mountain top.
_
Death makes you an immortal.
You wake up at the aftermath of an absurd metamorphosis one morning and you find yourself encased under Kafka’s nib.
_
Death makes you an immortal.
It befalls upon you as an epiphany that, like a fleeting sunset you were never meant to stay at the same place.
You embark on a mysterious journey with Edgar Allan Poe in his universe of dreams within a dream.
_
Death makes you an immortal.
It turns you into an elegant oil painting being stroked by silky sable bristles in an Oscar Wilde story. The heavens relent their regal and marvel at the artistry of your portrait.
_
Death makes you an immortal.
Transforming you into a pair of emerald eyes which could see a rainbow when looking at the monochromatic sky. Your heart pops like a seed pod and blooms into a flower of fulfilment in Thoreau’s garden.
_
Death makes you an immortal.
You croon songs of autumn in a mellow voice like a Nightingale in the heart of the forest. You become the dandelions dancing with wind, the swallowtails making love beneath the scarlet oak, the very imagery in Keats’ world.
_
I’ve hackneyed this line.
But, death makes you an immortal. Your spirit lives on through your deeds and ideas. People fade, memories remain. From your cadaver, flowers will grow. Your lungs mightn’t be able to feel the salinity of the fresh ocean air, but your essence will live on timelessly through your work. Beauty will bloom from the depths of darkness.

COVID-19 Rapid Test

#COVID-19 #Vaccine #viruse #Test #IIT #Innovation #Research #India #Corona

IIT Kharagpur researchers have developed a novel technology for COVID-19 Rapid Test.

The entire rapid test can be conducted in an ultra-low-cost portable device with the test results available in a customized smartphone application for dissemination within 1 hour without requiring manual interpretation.

All of this at a cost of around INR 400/- per test. This first-of-its-kind device will bring the testing for COVID-19 out from the walls of expensive laboratories and RT-PCR machines and enable testing at affordable costs for the under-served community across the world.

Prof. Suman Chakraborty from the Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Kharagpur, and Dr. Arindam Mondal from the School of Bio Science, IIT Kharagpur, came up with the concept of a portable non-invasive rapid detection test for COVID-19 thus taking the testing mechanism to a whole new level.

IIT Kharagpur is ready for commercialization of the product.

Here is a detailed report on the innovation and a video

Take Action

#Fighter #Action #Effort #Knowledge #life

Take responsibility for yourself. You have created your present situation. You can redeem yourself through knowledge and the right effort.

In every aspect of life you have to do it yourself. You cannot delegate it to anyone else.

Development cannot be by proxy. If you want to improve your health and fitness you have to exercise and eat healthy. To develop the mind you need to cultivate positive emotions and avoid negativity.

To educate yourself you have to study and expand your intellect. ⁣
You are your own friend when you use your personality – body, mind, intellect – towards your own progress. You become your own foe when you use the very same equipment to go downhill.⁣

Start day with Positive Thinking 😊

Priorities yourself first

things you should never apologise for

i) being your first priority
it is your warm arms which wrap themselves around you and provide you a sense of security at 3am. when you take care of yourself; you serve as a helping hand to others too, with eyes full of light.

ii) standing up for yourself
you are brave yet soft. no matter who it is, if they are pulling you down in any way, you stand up for yourself because you respect yourself and won’t let anyone run over you in exchange of anything. abuse in any form is not acceptable.

iii) saying no
you do not have to go out of your way to help someone who may or may not to do the same for you. you cannot always be the ‘go to person’ and it’s okay. saying ‘no’ doesn’t make you bad, rather it makes you honest.

iv) following your dreams
one of the most beautiful things in this world is to be able to follow the path that leads to your dreams, and to live them is no less than a fantasy. but sometimes, following your dreams may cost you important people and moments of your life but remember, those who love you will always stay.

v) leaving those who are toxic – choosing your mental health
loving someone yet not staying with them anymore because they cause you sadness more than happiness is okay. at times, you stumble back to those memories where you both were happy and your heart yearns for you to go back to them, but you do not. no, it is not harsh of you; it is you doing the right thing.

vi) needing time for yourself
as much as we need everyone else in our lives, we need ourselves too. we need us to pick up ourselves when we fall down. sometimes, you take a break to focus on yourself and it is okay. it is not selfish of you to take out time for yourself and do things that you enjoy doing, for anything, it is therapy and a stem of self love.

vii) being yourself
you can like any colour or wear anything, be your own trend setter. you can add pineapple on your pizza and choose beer over red wine, it does not matter until and unless you are being yourself. you do not change yourself for anyone else but yourself, for your personal growth.

Indian Wins Prestigious DIANA AWARD 2020

#DianaAward #2020 #Education #Inspiration #India #Indian #NeerajMurmu #Kailashsathyathi

” What a proud moment for me, my organisation & India! My son Neeraj Murmu won prestigious #2020DianaAward for his exemplary work in spreading education. He was a child labourer in dangerous mica mines till 2011″, tweeted Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, sharing news of Neeraj’s win.

Three years after being rescued by Satyarthi‘s Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) in 2009, Neeraj travelled to Tamil Nadu to persuade four underage boys — who had migrated to that state in search of jobs —to complete their education. His counselling succeeded when they enrolled themselves in a local college.

Since then, Neeraj has helped 200 underprivileged children in his village get an education. He has also rescued 20 child labourers from mica mining and enrolled them in a school.
Kudos and congratulations, Neeraj!

DARK – The end is the beginning.

#Dark #TimeTravel #ParallelUniverse

#Netflix #Hollywood #OTT #Film #Movie #ScienceFiction #Paradox

Dark [ German witis the greatest science fiction or probably the best show ever made. [ probably because I am yet to explore most of the great shows but still can’t expect anything better than this ].

The storyline of the show seems complex to understand initially because of the fact that it had too much to explore throughout its story arc that you can’t understand everything by the time you are watching it but things get clear as you move forward with the storyline and there are many moments that make you realise that the hint was always there but it’s you who failed to understand earlier. The screenplay gets pretty much confusing many times yet it manages to engage you for every single moment.

The Multi-Layered, Beautifully crafted piece of Writing & the narration through Several Parallel Timelines and World Gives you good exercise for your mind and No matter how much you try to solve the mystery the show always remains at least 2 steps ahead of you and keeps throwing the Mind f**king twists at regular intervals. The show keeps you reminding the dialogue ” What you know is a Drop, what you don’t know is an ocean” which fits perfectly to your journey of the show itself.

The Creators of the show @baranboodar is an absolute genius. The way he manages to pull off the unimaginable stuff and hardly gives you anything to complain [ other than too much complexity that might frustrate you sometime ] throughout the 26 Episode & 3 seasons can’t be described in any word. The Moment towards the end when you realise that there were so many hints about the conclusion & main theme of the show and everything you are watching now is definitely preplanned from the very first episode makes you respect this man more and more.

The Performances by each and every actor in the show is also an absolute delight to watch. The story arc and subplots for each character is brilliantly done in a balanced way. The cinematography, editing and the other technical aspects of the show are also top Notches. Overall its a Well Crafted Show with several Takeaways & learning which I failed to mention here. EPIC MASTERPIECE ❤

World Health Organization Warning…!!

The World Health Organization warned that the pandemic is worsening globally and that “there will be no return to the old normal for the foreseeable future.”
.
The WHO director-general said that while numerous countries have now brought their previously explosive outbreaks under control, namely those in Europe and Asia, “too many countries are headed in the wrong direction.”
.
“If the basics aren’t followed, there is only one way this pandemic is going to go,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said. “It’s going to get worse and worse and worse.”

Today Thought :

Death is a powerful reminder not to fuck around or waste my time trying to please other people.

It’s worth thinking through with some frequency that not only is tomorrow not guaranteed, 10 minutes from now isn’t guaranteed.

COVID-19 Vaccine

On Sunday, several media reports suggested that Russia has become the first nation to complete clinical trials of a COVID-19 vaccine on humans.

While the initial results of human trials do indicate that the vaccine is safe and effective to an extent, celebrating the supposed ‘world’s first COVID-19 vaccine’ seems premature.

On June 18, Russia allowed clinical trials of two forms of a potential COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.

The first vaccine, in the form of a solution for intramuscular administration, was carried out at the Burdenko Military Hospital.
Another vaccine, in the form of a powder for the preparation of a solution for intramuscular administration, was carried out at Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

The first stage of research on the vaccine at Sechenov University involved a group of 18 volunteers, and the second group comprised 20 volunteers. After vaccination, all volunteers were expected to remain in isolation in a hospital for 28 days.

Even though the Russian vaccine has cleared the first phase of clinical trials, it has a long way ahead to be recognised as a proven vaccine against COVID-19.
